Michelchiasson's Blog on Sales Management and Daily Life

About Michel Chiasson

During my 10th year with Xerox Canada, I was responsible for NB and PEI’s business and a P&L of over 20 Million dollars. Wanting more control on my life, I joined a new venture called Whitehill Technologies in 1999. I implemented the sales process, trained the sales people and was lucky to have great support from the marketing group to make this happen. I started as a director of sales when we had 35 clients in one vertical market. After we had outgrown that vertical market, with close to 800 clients, I was tasked to start the same process in a second vertical market. We did it again, in the financial services sector, supported by the same great marketing group and we captured some of the marquee clients in the business. We sold the company in August 2007.
I am now starting my own company along with some very smart and creative people. I might break my neck, but this is something I have always wanted to try.
In this blog, I will keep you up to date on the journey and how it turns out. I will also offer unsollicited advice on sales scenarios that I see unfolding in my world, as I am aware of my qualifications in this field.
Besides the business and the business of selling, I will also cover a third passion, my football team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The only true passion that I don’t write about is my family. I am very blessed to have what I have and it shall remain private. For the rest and for the interested parties, I will try to share as much as possible without requiring you to sign a form known in the business as an NDA.

PS – I am FrenchCanadian, so the semantics masters out there might get offended..apologies.

Our new venture, based on the needs of sales people to understand their accounts better, is a software development company called CVU Software.  You can read more at www.cvusoftware.com

“…great support from the marketing group”

I’m trying really hard to keep a straight face, but you’re killing me. You should do stand up comedy. ;-)

You know….i never was a good liar and when there was no support or the materials were….well, you know….I said it out loud, to the perils of my life…
